The Long Midsommar Night short+LGBT+diversity

Summer in Sweden 1923: Anders and Finn both come from the university town of Linköping. The student and his teacher want to spend a few days fishing and camping in the wilderness of southern Sweden. The two share a friendship and a secret love. Both want to live out their passion for each other, far from the control of conservative, urban life in the city, unobserved in nature.

But shortly after their arrival, their lives are completely turned upside down. Alone and on her own, her fate takes a dramatic turn under the sky of the white Midsummer Night in Scandinavia. Through an unfortunate circumstance, Anders meets the deaf, creepy Lejf.

Moments full of uncertainty, fear and despair begin for Anders in which he is increasingly confronted with Lejf's traumatic past. Compassion, affection and rejection mix and plunge Anders and Lejf into a chaos of emotions. Lejf has the bitter experience that his model of life has failed.

About Writer and Director

I have been visiting the magical volcanic island of Stromboli in the Italian Mediterranean for over 40 years. I experienced many stories there. But this one touched me the most.
